Community Resource Specialist - COVID-19 (Temporary)

Under general supervision, responsible for the updating and maintenance, as well as ensuring the quality of COVID-19 community resource information contained in the 211 resource database. Provides information and support to the 211 Texas/United Way Helpline through data gathering, creating relationships and completing verification requests as needed to all COVID-19 agencies in the database. Works with the resource manager and team to ensure accuracy, consistency, integrity and timeliness of the data input into the database. In cooperation with the resource manager and the team, participates in the ongoing evaluation of data management practices and recommends system enhancements.
Provides back-up support on the phones as a Helpline Specialist. This includes listening, problem assessment, information and referral and documentation for all contacts.
Learns and follows both the standards of the Alliance of Information and Referral Systems (AIRS) and the Style Guide of the Texas Information and Referral Network (TIRN).
*Position is grant funded through August 2021. Position pays $16.73/hour.

Qualifications
Education
Preferred Some college or better in Social Work or related field.
Experience
Preferred 1-2 years: Experience in information and referral and/or data management.
